Radiologic Health Care Specialist Job Description

The Radiologic Health Care Specialist performs medical imaging exams using X-rays and other diagnostic tools to create images of specific body parts. This role involves working under direct supervision, preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication among healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow physician instructions for imaging specific body areas.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and needs.
  • Position patients correctly and adjust imaging equipment for quality images.
  • Minimize radiation exposure for both patients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Radiology or related educational program.
  • ARRT (R) certification as a Radiologic Technologist; BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare.
