Job Summary

We are seeking an Environmental Service Worker II to join our team at Kettering Health Washington Township. As a key member of our housekeeping and maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our hospital facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
  • Perform daily cleaning functions, including floor care, waste management, and equipment operation
  • Document daily assignments and maintain accurate records
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors
  • Operate laundry equipment, change curtains, and perform other utility duties as assigned
  • Participate in regular and hazardous waste handling and processing
  • Clean and maintain sterile areas, including operating rooms, sterile processing, and MRI
  • Deliver supplies to designated locations
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in housekeeping and/or service-related field
  • Floor care experience
  • Able to lift/push/pull 10lbs to 25lbs daily
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Knowledge of electronic devices (computer, tablets, etc.)
  • Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand written instructions in English
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Strong communication skills, attitude, and attendance
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
