Job Summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU team as a Critical Care Nurse. This is a full-time, night shift position that requires a high level of clinical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that patients receive individualized attention and treatment.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Manage Patient Flow: Prioritize and organize patient care, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective treatment, and that the unit runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Communicate Effectively: Utilize clear and concise communication to convey patient information to healthcare team members, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
  • Document Patient Care: Accurately and thoroughly document patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that patient care is safe, effective, and efficient.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in Critical Care, with a focus on regulatory guidelines and standard of practice.
  • Certifications: Current California Nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Skills: Bilingual skills (Spanish) preferred, basic computer skills, and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
