Job Summary

We are seeking a Geospatial Technician to join our team. This is an entry-level position that will provide the opportunity to learn and grow with our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing geospatial production processes, including ingesting, processing, and quality controlling imagery and GNSS/IMU data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare orthophoto images from aerial photographs, survey data, and compilation data.
  • Perform manual edit QC on LiDAR data.
  • Create, maintain, and update databases using GIS software.
  • Collect hydro feature breaklines and run hydro models to produce printed maps.
  • Operate GIS equipment, software, data, and related products.
  • Compile geographic information from satellite images, geographical surveys, and aerial photographs.
  • Research and verify geographic data.
  • Enter new data into GIS databases.
  • Drawing maps using advanced computer software.
  • Ensure maps are annotated and compiled with the correct information.
  • Compile reports using all available GIS and GPS data sources.
  • Maintain the GIS database and troubleshoot data issues.
Requirements
  • High school diploma. Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree preferred, or certificate in relevant course of study, or the equivalent work experience or current enrollment in relevant college-level coursework.
  • Exposure to lidar, ortho imagery, and GIS software tools preferred. Photoshop skills a plus.
