We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist III - Float to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch patient care at our various locations.
Key Responsibilities:- Draw blood samples accurately and efficiently from patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those with difficult veins.
- Create a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere for patients, explaining procedures clearly and addressing any concerns.
- Adhere to established protocols for sample handling, labeling, and transportation.
- Mentor and train new phlebotomists, providing guidance and support.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Be prepared to work in various settings, including doctor's offices, patient service centers, and long-term care facilities.
- Effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. At least 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation, keyboard/data entry proficiency, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
