Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist III - Float to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch patient care at our various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draw blood samples accurately and efficiently from patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and those with difficult veins.
  • Create a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere for patients, explaining procedures clearly and addressing any concerns.
  • Adhere to established protocols for sample handling, labeling, and transportation.
  • Mentor and train new phlebotomists, providing guidance and support.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Be prepared to work in various settings, including doctor's offices, patient service centers, and long-term care facilities.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
  • Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. At least 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation, keyboard/data entry proficiency, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
