Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide genuine and enthusiastic greetings to guests, setting the tone for a positive dining experience.
  • Operate the point of sale system with accuracy and efficiency, handling cash, credit, and debit transactions.
  • Process orders in a timely manner, ensuring that guests receive their food and beverages promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Burrito District's high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Assist with maintaining the standards of a clean and sanitized restroom, reporting any maintenance issues to the shift lead or manager.
  • Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings to update and contribute ideas for improving operations and safety.
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, adhering to training and certification procedures.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to read, write, and speak the language.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher (for applicants with no experience).
  • Possess a current Food Handlers Certification.
  • Possess a current TABC (not immediately required).
  • Must present a negative COVID test result 2-3 days or current vaccination record before the first shift.
  • Must comply with WHO/CDC guidelines for essential workers, including wearing masks and standing within 6ft of guests and staff.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to count cash accurately and process payments.
  • Ability to use and operate a touchscreen monitor.
  • Ability to carry and lift up to 30 lbs when needed.
  • Agility, bending, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and occasionally getting on a step stool.
  • Ability to work, focus, and act professionally under pressure in a high-volume working environment.
