About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Document Imaging Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth Lake Wales/Heart of Florida. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our patients' medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieve and reconcile medical records from patient care areas, applying accounting procedures to ensure collection and reconciliation of all records.
  • Scan, index, and validate documentation created by healthcare practitioners on paper, ensuring that it is accurate and complete in accordance with federal, state, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage, retrieve, and import medical record documentation from internal and external web-based computer-based programs, ensuring that record retention guidelines are met.
  • Review and monitor documentation scanned to ensure the accuracy of data for each patient, ensuring that all data received is correct and inclusive of all necessary information for patient safety.
