Position Summary:
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures. This role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all MRI equipment and assisting both patients and healthcare professionals as necessary. The specialist will stay informed about advancements in scanning methodologies and emerging technologies. Additionally, this position involves training technical personnel on established protocols and post-processing techniques.

Patient Demographics:
All Age Groups.

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, along with Vocational Training.

Essential Coursework:
Completion of a Radiologic Technology program.

Preferred Educational Background:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.

Key Competencies:
  • Proficient in computer software with troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to offer both physical and emotional support to patients.

Licensure and Certifications:
A.R.R.T. Certification
Florida State License (Radiographer)
MRI Certification to be obtained within the first year of employment
BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Experience Requirements:
One to two years in computerized imaging, or completion of a post-secondary MRI certification program.

Preferred Experience:
Less than one year in Cardiac Imaging.
