Key Responsibilities

1. Manage incoming calls, schedule patient appointments, check-in patients, gather necessary information for patient records, and ensure completion of all required forms.

2. Assist with patient check-out, facilitate referral processes, and coordinate laboratory services.

3. Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document health histories.

4. Set up diagnostic equipment, administer medications and injections, and conduct routine specimen collection and testing.

5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical instruments.

6. Support physicians during medical procedures and examinations.

7. Oversee inventory management of medical supplies and ensure examination rooms are adequately stocked.

Qualifications

1. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

2. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

3. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

4. Knowledge of medical practices, administrative procedures, and relevant policies.

5. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.

6. Understanding of public health practices, medical terminology, and immunization protocols.

7. Knowledge of patient care procedures and examination techniques.

8. Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.

9. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Education and Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED is required.
  2. Completion of an accredited medical assistant certification program is mandatory.
  3. Proficiency in Spanish is required.

Job Type: Full-time
