Position Overview:
Catholic Health Service is dedicated to providing exceptional medical care to our patients.
We are seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technician who will play a vital role in delivering top-notch patient care as part of our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate entry of patient demographic and clinical information to facilitate reporting and integration with electronic health records.
- Conducting EEG procedures with a focus on producing high-quality tracings.
- Proficient in performing evoked response tests, including VER, BAER, and SSEP.
- Managing equipment calibration and maintenance, ensuring adequate inventory of necessary supplies, and overseeing the setup and cleanup of testing environments.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. with successful completion of EEG training from an accredited institution.
- Competence in identifying cardiac arrhythmias is essential.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care environment is preferred, though new graduates are welcome to apply.
- REEG certification is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with relevant experience.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to operate EEG and neurodiagnostic testing equipment effectively.
- This position requires prolonged periods of walking and sitting.
- Capability to bend, stretch, reach, and handle delicate objects.
- Must be able to lift and position patients as necessary.
- Excellent verbal and auditory communication skills are required for effective interaction with patients, physicians, families, and care team members.
- Ability to manage physical and emotional stress in a healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Willingness to enhance skills in line with technological advancements.
Compensation:
Salary range: USD $34.86 per hour. This range serves as a good faith estimate, and actual compensation will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and position location. The listed salary does not encompass bonuses, differential pay, or other forms of compensation that may apply to this role.
