Role ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and assessing patient care strategies in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Assessing medical data and delivering direct care to patients before and after surgical procedures.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and promptly reporting any adverse reactions to medications.
- Administering prescribed medications and treatments to designated patients.
- Responding to medical emergencies and notifying the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Exhibiting flexibility to travel to various assignment locations.
- Complying with the facility's required work schedule.
- Completing onboarding processes in a timely manner.
- Adapting quickly to new settings while maintaining a commitment to high-quality patient care.
This role may also be referred to as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, M/S Nurse, or Med Surgical Nurse.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical nursing role.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Possession of a current state-specific RN license in good standing, or a compact state RN license if applicable.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- ACLS certification may be required.
