Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to join our team. As a Contract Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and negotiating contracts with various facilities, vendors, and business partners.
Key Responsibilities- Process and analyze a high volume of contract requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a liaison between Contracts and Compliance, as well as other departments, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Prepare and negotiate contract amendments, addendums, and extensions, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Process requests for contract termination and prepare termination letters.
- Engage with outside counsel to address contract-related issues and template changes.
- Assist with contract and billing disputes with facility vendors and legal representatives.
- Handle a high volume of requests for contract copies and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with real estate acquisition contract preparation, including coordination with GPO and maintenance of spreadsheets.
- Maintain the contract management software and database, ensuring up-to-date vendor information and accurate reporting.
- Paralegal Certificate and/or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to attentively and efficiently review legal agreements.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements of HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statutes, Stark Laws, and other regulations governing the healthcare industry.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with contracts in a law firm or in-house legal department in a healthcare company.
- Healthcare background strongly preferred.
