Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role of a Tech and Teaching Assistant is vital in fostering an engaging learning environment. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing both instructional and technological support for participants.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Support:

  • Possess a solid understanding of the curriculum to effectively assist participants with their tasks.
  • Provide individualized instruction and support for participants who may struggle with sequential tasks, as directed by the Instructor.
  • Support the Instructor in maintaining overall classroom discipline and organization.
  • Offer additional tutoring sessions outside of scheduled program hours as assigned by the Instructor.

Equipment Management:

  • Assist with the setup and distribution of equipment during class sessions.
  • Ensure that all devices, including Chromebooks, are functioning correctly prior to and during their use.
  • Diagnose and resolve any technical issues that may arise with the equipment.

Technical Assistance:

  • Manage and respond to tech support requests.
  • Provide one-on-one problem-solving assistance as required.
  • Collaborate with the Programs Team on various aspects of program development and execution.
  • Participate in all assigned in-person and virtual programs.
  • Be prepared to step in as a substitute for colleagues when necessary.
  • Offer additional support to participants who require extra help.

Compensation:

The hourly wage ranges from minimum wage up to $15 to $17 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of I9 Form with necessary identification to verify employment eligibility.
  • Submission of all required HR documentation.
  • Access to reliable transportation is essential for travel to various program sites.
