Position Overview

The Emergency Veterinarian plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional medical care to our patients while fostering strong relationships with their owners. This position involves conducting thorough examinations, performing surgical and dental procedures, and prioritizing effective communication and education for clients. Our veterinarians are expected to treat every pet and client with the utmost care and respect.

Key Responsibilities

• Build rapport with clients to understand their needs and perform comprehensive physical examinations and medical procedures that prioritize patient comfort.
• Clearly communicate examination results and diagnoses to clients, presenting tailored treatment plans and educating them on preventive care and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate medical records and logs, ensuring compliance with established protocols and assisting colleagues in patient follow-up.
• Stay informed about advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of the support team to enhance the quality of care and client service.
• Represent the hospital positively within the professional community and to the public.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the relevant state.
