Job Summary
The Program Nurse at RiverSpring Health is responsible for providing nursing care and services to residents in the Adult Living Residence (ALR) in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, implementation, and continuing evaluation of the nursing care plan.
- Oversee the units and assist with managing Home Health Aides (HHAs) and daily tasks.
- Observe, record, and report to the appropriate person, resident's symptoms, reactions, and changes in condition as indicated.
- Perform selected nursing procedures in keeping with licensure, such as administration of medications and treatments.
- Manage resident medication, including medication changes, new prescriptions, discontinued medications, and refills.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing with a valid and current New York State License and is currently registered as a licensed practical nurse pursuant to Article 139 of the New York State Education law.
Minimum of one to two years as a licensed practical nursing experience in community nursing, home care, acute care facility, or adult care facility.
Must have supervisory and medication oversight experience.
