DelDOT is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Service Assistant I to join our team. As a key member of our case management function, you will provide critical support to clients, including transportation, appointment scheduling, and coaching. If you have a passion for helping others and possess excellent communication and organizational skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments for clients and transport them to required locations, providing coaching and support to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide office and telephone coverage in the absence of the case manager, referring complex issues to the appropriate party.
- Visit clients in various environments, such as homes, schools, and community settings, to observe behavior and report to the case manager.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and forms required by the case manager to deliver essential services to clients.
- Monitor the behavior of children and parents during parental visits, ensuring safe interactions.
- Interview clients to obtain basic information, such as dates of birth and social security numbers of family members.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, applicants must have education, training, and/or experience demonstrating competence in the following areas:
- Coursework, training, or work experience in health or human services support, including interviewing clients and assessing personal, health, social, or financial needs in accordance with program requirements or coordinating with community resources to obtain client services.
