About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Installation Specialist to join our team at Kanaan Communications, LLC. As a Fiber Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, disconnecting, reconnecting, adding, changing, and troubleshooting fiber optic internet and telephone services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, setup, and configure residential networking equipment such as ONTs, routers, and switches.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform testing on company-issued devices and customer devices to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
  • Customer Service: Greet and interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns.
  • Paperwork and Reporting: Complete paperwork accurately and report work order status updates.
Requirements
  • Minimum Requirements: Minimum 18 years old, valid U.S. driver's license, authorized to work in the United States for this company without sponsorship, and must live within 80 miles of Charlotte, NC.
  • Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent, comfortable working in tight spaces and inclement weather conditions, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effective communication skills, and ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80lbs.
