Job Summary: Speech Language Pathologist

UNC Health Care seeks a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team, providing expert care to patients with speech, language, hearing, and oral motor disorders.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will assess patients' needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement effective interventions to improve communication skills.

  1. Evaluates patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders, analyzing results to establish goals and modify treatment programs.
  2. Develops and contributes to innovative programs to enhance patient care, providing counseling and feedback to patients and families.
  3. Maintains accurate records, reports progress, and communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  4. Selects and applies current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient speech/language/swallow rehabilitation services.
Key Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Certified Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Licensed or licensure eligible as a Speech Language Pathologist in North Carolina
  • One year of clinical experience working in Speech Language Pathology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000-$90,000. This is a Per Diem position with 8 hours per week. Exempt from overtime: Yes.
