Cardiac Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiac Technician to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our electrophysiology team, you will assist in the examination and interrogation of patients, working closely with our physicians to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Conduct patient interviews and gather vital signs as directed by the physician.
- Record patient information, including medical history and current medications.
- Communicate test results to patients via phone.
- Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) equipment and work on the PaceArt of Del Mar System.
- Schedule tests and procedures in St. Vincent's Medical Center for patients.
- Continuously update technical skills and maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
- Assist in maintaining a smooth patient flow and maintain patient medical records.
- Attend staff meetings and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of Holter experience preferred.
- Certification in CPR is required upon employment.
- MMR, Varivax (chicken pox vaccine), and Hepatitis B (or signed declination) are required for those with potential exposure to blood/body fluids.
- Tdap and influenza vaccination are strongly encouraged.
