Cardiac Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiac Technician to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our electrophysiology team, you will assist in the examination and interrogation of patients, working closely with our physicians to provide exceptional patient care.

• Conduct patient interviews and gather vital signs as directed by the physician.
• Record patient information, including medical history and current medications.
• Communicate test results to patients via phone.
• Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) equipment and work on the PaceArt of Del Mar System.
• Schedule tests and procedures in St. Vincent's Medical Center for patients.
• Continuously update technical skills and maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Assist in maintaining a smooth patient flow and maintain patient medical records.
• Attend staff meetings and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of Holter experience preferred.
• Certification in CPR is required upon employment.
• MMR, Varivax (chicken pox vaccine), and Hepatitis B (or signed declination) are required for those with potential exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Tdap and influenza vaccination are strongly encouraged.
