EEG Technician

Job Summary

Ascension is seeking an EEG Technician to perform diagnostic electroencephalograph testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of neurodiagnostic procedures and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic electroencephalograph testing on patients
• Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine
• Review patient's record and instruct patients prior to procedures
• Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings
• Identify and correct for artifacts
• Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required
• Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
