Position Overview:

Texas Research International (TRI) is a well-established organization with a rich history in applied materials science research and development, serving both governmental and private sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced Engineer/Scientist with an advanced degree in Engineering to contribute to our Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Division, focusing on innovative research and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will engage in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Identifying and pursuing potential business opportunities while maintaining professional relationships.
  • Managing projects effectively, ensuring:
    • Timely submission of deliverables.
    • Adherence to project schedules and budgets.
    • Oversight of technical advancements.
    • Regular communication with stakeholders.
    • Achievement of project objectives.
    • Development of future project pathways.
  • Demonstrating expertise in various NDE modalities, such as:
    • Eddy current inspection.
    • Ultrasonic inspection.
    • X-ray/CT inspection.
    • Electromagnetic inspection.
    • Thermographic inspection.
    • MM or THz inspection.
  • Executing digital signal processing tasks, including signal sampling, amplification, and filtering.
  • Documenting progress and activities for client reports.
  • Writing and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Preparing technical and cost proposals.

Work Environment:

This position requires in-person attendance at our facility.

Qualifications:

We value the following skills and attributes in our NDE team:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing project priorities.
  • Hands-on experience and a willingness to engage in experimentation.
  • Proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.

To qualify, candidates must possess a M.S. or Ph.D. in an engineering discipline. Additional certifications, such as PMP or ASNT, are advantageous but not mandatory. Travel may be necessary to fulfill project and business development objectives.
