Job Overview

HiFyve is seeking a seasoned Plant Operations Director to lead the daily operations of our cheese and whey production plant in the food and beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of production schedules to meet business targets and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Manage a team of production workers, supervisors, and other staff to optimize plant efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain inventory levels and negotiate contracts.
  • Develop and manage the plant's operational budget and financial plans.
  • Liaise with senior management to report on plant performance and issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of dairy production processes, particularly cheese and whey.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in using production management software.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the food industry.
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial plans effectively.
