About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Dentsply Sirona. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for our facility and production equipment, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform repair activities to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Execute Lock Out Tag Out process as required to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs made to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Determine root cause of equipment downtime and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Operate production equipment to check work as required and lead in machine setup and tryout.
  • Perform fabrication, assembly, cutting, grinding, and pipefitting tasks as needed.
  • Provide support to production during machine breakdowns and be familiar with the use of micrometers, dial calipers, multimeters, and other measuring devices.
  • Develop and write Work Instructions and Preventive Maintenance protocols to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Understand and execute against Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
  • Support automation build and debug activities, process validation, and design for assembly concepts.
  • Work with Quality and Regulatory to ensure ISO 13485 and GMP compliance.
  • Responsible for PM schedule setup and execution for across facility.
  • Train and develop junior maintenance personnel to ensure knowledge transfer and succession planning.
Requirements
  • Possess a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and components.
  • Able to read and understand repair manuals and drawings.
  • Able to analyze problems and develop solutions.
  • Working knowledge of PLC and low voltage systems.
  • Working knowledge of robot operation and safety.
  • Familiarity with precision components and tolerancing of automated equipment.
  • Understanding proper safety practices and able to follow procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Basic cost analysis skills.
  • Technical writing skills, including developing SOPs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
  • Project management, planning, and organizing abilities.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic computations (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
  • Must be able to operate power tools and mechanical equipment effectively and safely.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of management.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations.
  • Good leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, independent, and able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • May be required to operate company-owned or leased vehicles and trucks.
  • Must have a safe driving record, valid driver's license, and be able to pass a DMV background check.
  • Ability to safely operate company-owned or leased vehicles on public and private roads.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a maintenance-related position.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as applicable, with the ability to learn other applicable programs as necessary.
Education and Experience
  • Equivalent work experience of a high school diploma or GED at minimum.
  • Associates degree preferred.
Environmental and Physical Requirements
  • Limited temperature fluctuations, air-conditioned environment.
  • Exposure to general manufacturing environment.
