Aspiring Second Officer

This opportunity is designed for individuals eager to launch their career in commercial aviation. We are on the lookout for exceptional candidates to join our dynamic and customer-oriented team at Jet2 Limited.

About the Role:

As part of our comprehensive 20-week development program, you will have the chance to become one of our Aspiring Second Officers. This initiative is tailored for those who hold or are working towards their fATPL and are ready to embrace the challenges of commercial flying.

Program Overview:

During this immersive experience, you will rotate through various departments at our operational headquarters, gaining insights into the workings of a leading airline. You will have the opportunity to shadow experienced professionals and engage in hands-on training as Cabin Crew.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for this program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Possession of a valid UK Part-FCL issued Pilot's License
  • Holding a valid UK Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • Completion of an APS MCC course or equivalent Jet Orientation Course (JOC) & Multi Crew Co-operation course (MCC)
  • Strong performance in ATPL examinations and training
  • Successful completion of a Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME-IR)
  • The right to work in the UK without restrictions

Additionally, candidates should maintain their flying currency through ongoing training or regular flying activities.

Post-Program Opportunities:

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will proceed to a fully bonded type-rating, leading to a position as a Second Officer within our fleet.
