We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Orthopaedic Surgery Center of Ocala. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing compassionate, patient-centered care to our patients undergoing orthopaedic surgeries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use equipment effectively and follow manufacturer's instructions
- Utilize proper techniques and procedures according to accepted standards of practice
- Assist with inventory management and maintain order and cleanliness of the pre-procedure area
- Participate as a team member in support of the total pre-anesthesia care process
- Validate patient and procedure information using two patient identifiers
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to prepare the pre-procedure area
- Provide comfort and reassurance to patients
- Maintain patient privacy and dignity
- Administer medication(s) per physician order
- Evaluate patient condition and maintain accurate documentation
- Develop a plan of care based on patient needs
- Assess patient physical and emotional status
- Review post-procedure instructions with patients and responsible adults
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
- Experience in pre-anesthesia care or orthopaedic surgery
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
