Position OverviewRole Summary

We are looking for a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to become a vital member of our inpatient Cardiothoracic Surgery team at University Hospitals. While a minimum of one year of APP experience is highly preferred, we are open to considering new graduates who possess relevant cardiothoracic experience. The role involves 12-hour day shifts with a rotation of weekends and holidays. Please note that this position does not include operating room responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and establish diagnoses based on collected assessment data and the latest scientific research.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
Proven proficiency as a healthcare practitioner
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with various technical patient care devices relevant to the clinical setting
Proficient in computer use and office equipment

Educational Background:
Nurse Practitioner: Doctorate in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on clinical practice.

Physician Assistant: Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant training program with NCCPA certification.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:
Nurse Practitioner: BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred; Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio; Current APRN license in Ohio.
