Job Title: School Registered Nurse

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate School Registered Nurse to join our team. As a School Registered Nurse, you will provide direct school nursing services to promote prevention, medical management, and academics.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide private duty nursing services in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct school nursing services to students, including administering medications, performing treatments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct health assessments, identify health risks, and provide education to students and parents on healthy habits and disease prevention.
  • Participate in health-related meetings and conferences to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Document services provided, including medication administration, treatments, and health assessments.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
