Weaver Consultants Group is a leading provider of comprehensive services to the Solid Waste industry. As a CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in our team, working on various projects and collaborating with experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed drawings, plan sets, and volume calculations for landfills and other disciplines.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers and Senior Engineers to ensure project work and designs are completed on time.
  • Provide design assistance for production assignments, conduct research to solve design problems, and work with other resources to streamline processes.
  • Develop design concepts and create project design deliverables from sketches, written, and/or verbal instructions.
  • Apply judgment and make decisions regarding deliverables and input interpretation.
  • Ensure design concepts and deliverables meet company or client requirements, applicable codes, and standards.
  • Make revisions to project drawings marked up by Project Managers and/or Engineers.
  • Create and manage electronic document file structures and naming conventions in accordance with company or client standards.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set up and manage contract and construction drawings.
  • Create and/or modify base drawings for various presentation documents.
  • Be a productive team member and AutoCAD user, working on multiple projects simultaneously with professional quality output.
  • Work on projects in different locations and states, following CAD standards.
  • Verify completeness, clarity, and accuracy of drawings.

Qualifications:

  • Technical school certificate in CAD design or an Associate's Degree in CAD or a related engineering discipline.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
  • Understanding of the Windows Operating System.
  • Verbal skills and organizational ability to communicate with project managers and engineers.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
