Dave's Auto Repair is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in the field, have their own set of professional tools, and demonstrate a strong understanding of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining foreign cars, with a focus on Honda and Acura models.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on Asian vehicles, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques. Snap-on Zeus scan tool experience is a benefit.
• Perform routine maintenance and service on Honda and Acura vehicles, adhering to manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
• Inspect vehicles for potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance to the shop owner.
• Communicate technical information to the shop owner in a clear and concise manner, providing accurate details of diagnostic steps if requested.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning and performance after repairs or maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Stay current on emerging automotive technologies, industry trends, and best practices, particularly related to Honda and Acura vehicles.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive technical training program is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an auto mechanic, with a focus and interest in Honda and Acura vehicles.
• ASE certification in relevant areas is a plus but not required.
• Extensive knowledge of Asian cars with emphasis on Honda and Acura vehicle systems, components, and repair procedures.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software, particularly those specific to Asian vehicles.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
