Dishroom Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated Dishroom Attendant to join our team at the Boy Scouts of America - Orange County Council. This is a part-time position, approximately 30 hours or less per week.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen environment.

1. Provide a high level of customer service and promote a positive dining atmosphere.
2. Work closely with the Food Service Director to ensure guest satisfaction.
3. Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by adhering to HACCP standard food safety practices.
4. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, and other cooking utensils, and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
5. Notify the Food Service Director if the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
6. Sort and stack clean dishes, and carry them to serving lines and proper storage areas.

In addition to your primary responsibilities, you may be asked to assist with general kitchen cleaning, sweep/mop the dish room floor after every meal service, empty kitchen trash, and refill ice machines as needed.

1. Able to lift or move 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
2. Long periods of standing, sitting, and bending.
3. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
4. Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner.
5. Responsible with company equipment and property.

This role requires standing for long periods of time, climbing or balancing, stooping or kneeling, frequently lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.

This is a part-time position, approximately 30 hours or less per week, with frequent evening and weekend work required. We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $25,000 to $35,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
