Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a skilled Nurse Supervisor II to lead a team of healthcare professionals in a unit-based position at one of our treatment units. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising nursing staff, participating in treatment team meetings, and ensuring the delivery of patient care according to individual treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide coaching and evaluation to nursing staff to enhance their skills and performance

Requirements

  • Valid Virginia State Board of Registered Nursing License
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience with electronic health records
  • Considerable psychiatric and/or geriatric experience preferred
  • Med-surg nursing experience and previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Long-term care and nursing home experience preferred
  • Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
