The Role:
This position requires on-site presence, and candidates must be prepared to work directly at the designated healthcare facility. We are looking for a dedicated Healthcare Access Coordinator who will be responsible for managing the admission processes for all patients seeking services. This role is pivotal in aligning with the organization’s mission and regulatory compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately assign Medical Record Numbers (MRNs) and conduct medical necessity checks.
  • Provide clear patient instructions and collect insurance details.
  • Process physician orders and utilize overlay tools while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Manage telephone communications effectively, ensuring compassionate interactions.
  • Meet established point of service goals and maintain quality auditing standards.
  • Conduct thorough audits of patient accounts to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Pre-register patient accounts and engage in proactive communication to gather necessary demographic and insurance information.
  • Explain and secure necessary signatures on consent forms and distribute essential patient education materials.
  • Review insurance eligibility responses and accurately enter benefit data to support billing processes.
  • Screen for medical necessity using appropriate software and inform patients about potential non-payment scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

Certifications:
  • CRCR certification is required within 6 months of hire (Company Sponsored).
