About the Job

This direct care specialist position is designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a safe and respectful environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily routines, ensuring the health and safety of individuals in their care, and participating in the development of Individual Service Plans (ISPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment
  • Assist with medication administration and health care needs
  • Participate in emergency procedures and provide physical support as needed
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of experience in developmental services or behavioral health preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and participate in physical activities as needed
