About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Verification Engineer to join our elite modem team at Apple. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for crafting sophisticated infrastructure and frameworks to validate embedded firmware that delivers exceptional performance in our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a strong team of component validation, firmware developers, and system engineers to build firmware verification infrastructure, test cases, and validate end-to-end physical layer performance.
  • Design and develop frameworks to verify 4G/5G firmware.
  • Collaborate with Systems/Firmware teams to perform validation of new and existing features.
  • Assist in the development of pre-silicon emulation systems/virtual platforms and use them for firmware design and HW verification.
  • Verify key protocol, signal processing, and numerical algorithms with very tight time, latency, and energy budgets.
Requirements
  • Minimum BS with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expert-level programming abilities in C, C++, and Python.
  • Deep understanding of computer architecture, software engineering principles, and core computer science fundamentals.
  • Strong analysis and debugging capabilities to be able to root cause issues and work on solutions with firmware development.
  • Coursework or exposure in basic digital communications and digital signal processing is highly desired.
  • Good knowledge of 5G and 4G 3GPP physical layer and protocol stack procedures and configurations is a plus.
  • Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms is a plus.
