Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Weekend Warrior Program at the State Veterans' Nursing Home of Florida. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including activities of daily living, ambulation, and mobility
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident call lights
  • Observe, identify, and report resident concerns or needs to the shift supervisor
  • Complete assignments timely, completely, accurately, and in a cooperative manner
  • Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to nursing service and FDVA policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant License
  • Willingness and ability to work evening, night, or weekend shifts
  • Willingness and ability to work at least one shift per pay period unless otherwise approved by the Director of Nursing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a 120-bed skilled long-term care nursing facility
  • High school diploma or GED

This is an OPS SCNA Weekend Warrior position, responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents of the State Veterans' Nursing Home of Florida, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
