Position Overview:
The Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive medical and psychological care to patients, collaborating closely with physicians while adhering to established practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physical examinations, to gather essential health information.
  • Evaluate the psychological and physical needs of patients, formulating care strategies to address these needs effectively.
  • Prioritize patient care based on assessments and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.
  • Engage families in the care process, addressing educational needs and providing necessary support.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions, working independently or as part of a healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with facility protocols.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to set achievable health goals for patients.
  • Implement healthcare interventions as required, following prescriptive practice guidelines.
  • Prepare discharge summaries for physician review and ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in on-call duties as scheduled, providing essential support to the medical team.
  • Focus on preventive health measures, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse in a relevant healthcare setting.

Licensure Requirements:
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in accordance with state regulations, along with a current DEA license if applicable.
