Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership within the laboratory, collaborating with the Operations Manager and Administrative Laboratory Director. This includes overseeing laboratory safety and managing the quality system, which entails preparing quarterly reports for committee review.
- Conduct ongoing data collection, monitoring, and reporting related to laboratory testing, quality system management, compliance with regulatory standards, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Proactively identify performance challenges and collaborate with the Operations Manager and Administrative Laboratory Medical Director to develop effective solutions.
- Adhere to hospital policies regarding personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and ensure the proper disposal of contaminated materials in accordance with established infection control standards.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and prioritize tasks effectively to complete assignments within designated timeframes.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Biomedical Sciences, in line with New York State guidelines (NAACLS ACCREDITED, ASCP or NCA Eligible).
Licenses:
NYS License Required
Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of hospital experience is required, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Salary Range:
USD $116,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate and actual compensation will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
The salary range does not include any differential pay or other compensation forms that may apply to this position, nor does it account for the value of benefits.
