The Pediatrician role at Miami Beach Medical Group involves providing comprehensive medical care to young individuals, from infants to young adults. Key responsibilities include conducting immunizations, monitoring growth and development, and providing general medical care.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat children with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities.
  • Perform comprehensive examinations to identify abnormalities and monitor growth.
  • Prescribe treatment methods, including medication and therapies.
  • Discuss diagnosis and treatment plans with parents and children.
  • Order tests and refer patients to specialists.
  • Advise patients on medication use, nutrition, and preventive measures.
  • Create medical reports to support other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree required.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA approved post-graduate residency in pediatrics.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Florida.
  • Current DEA license.
  • Board certification in pediatrics or be board eligible within five years.
  • Meet requirements for medical staff membership and privileges.
  • BLS certification required, PALS certification for hospital appointment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
