Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Introduce yourself and confirm patient identification before procedures.
  • Documentation: Gather and verify all necessary information and paperwork for procedures.
  • Patient Safety: Assess factors that may contraindicate the procedure.
  • Compliance: Adhere to department standards and perform Universal Protocols.
  • Patient Education: Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their guardians.
  • Image Acquisition: Capture images following established protocols and assess their diagnostic quality.
  • Radiation Safety: Follow guidelines to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control programs and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Resource Management: Conserve resources and perform job functions efficiently.
  • Professional Development: Mentor students and contribute to the education of future radiologic technologists.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited radiology training program.
  • ARRT certification preferred.
  • NH State Medical Imaging License or eligibility for licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
