Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Technician to join our team at GFL Environmental. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our diesel and CNG vehicles.

About the Role:

  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel and CNG engines, electrical systems, and other critical components.
  • Lead inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians to help them develop their skills.
  • Oversee the review of work orders and coordinate repair schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles and complete required reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in diesel/CNG maintenance, preferably with a strong background in heavy-duty trucks.
  • ASE certifications or equivalent experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training or other company events.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
