Produce Department Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Manager to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the produce department to achieve sales and profit goals, while maintaining a safe and clean environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Produce Department: Supervise and train a team of associates to ensure excellent customer service and a high level of product quality.
  • Drive Sales and Profit Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability in the produce department.
  • Manage Inventory and Merchandising: Oversee inventory levels, manage merchandise displays, and ensure that products are properly stocked and rotated.
  • Maintain a Safe and Clean Environment: Ensure that the produce department is clean, organized, and meets Kroger's safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with Store Leadership: Work closely with store management to achieve company goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a retail or food service environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
