NICU Registered Nurse Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled NICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest, a part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical nursing duties for neonates and infants according to policy and procedures.
  • Recognize developmental stages of neonates and infants and provide appropriate support to maximize the infant's developmental outcome.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to acute changes in neonate/infant's condition and emergency situations in the NICU and other hospital departments.
  • Provide support and teaching to the family unit.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team utilizing verbal and written skills.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • At least one year of NICU RN experience.
