Fume Hood Assembler Level 2 Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fume Hood Assembler Level 2 to join our team at a great company in Norton Shores, MI. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling fume hood components with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble fume hood components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies according to design specifications and approved procedures.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components and resolving assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Maintain equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Keep a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of fume hood materials, production processes, machines, hardware, and assembly tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts when needed
  • Quick-paced work environment with a focus on quality and safety standards
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to display attention to detail and apply principles of logical thinking to practical problems
  • Ability to work independently and make independent solutions
  • High-level of visual awareness and ability to stand for long periods, bend, twist, and lift up to 60 lbs
  • Pass background check and drug screen
  • Great attendance and positive attitude
  • Flexible and team player
