Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty Instructor to join our Career Technology team at Mayland Community College. As an Adjunct Faculty Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching assigned class loads and serving as a faculty advisor to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom and course management in a professional and effective manner.
  • Utilize appropriate textbooks, reference materials, software, and learning resources to support student learning.
  • Assist students outside of scheduled class times as needed.
  • Develop and maintain syllabi, submit electronic copies to the Program Coordinator, and provide students with a copy at the beginning of each semester.
  • Maintain accurate class rosters and submit them to the Program Coordinator and Division Associate Dean.
  • Submit final grades and Early Alerts as specified on the Academic Calendar.
  • Attend faculty and unit meetings and workshops as required.
  • Notify the Program Coordinator of any absences or schedule changes in advance.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of an Associate of Applied Science degree in the relevant field, depending on the course. Preferred qualifications include teaching experience in the community college system.
