Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team at Thompson River Pediatrics. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our physicians in delivering exceptional medical services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing basic nursing procedures, administering treatments and medications as prescribed by the physician, and performing point-of-care testing as authorized.
  • Providing laboratory, radiology, and consult reports to the physician for review, and notifying patients of results as directed.
  • Assisting with medical procedures, maintaining sterile equipment, and screening for hearing and vision testing.
  • Collecting blood, urine, and specimen samples for testing, and completing basic labs including hemoglobin, lead, lipid panel, urine analysis, flu, RSV, and strep throat.
  • Examining and reviewing patient vaccine records, administering vaccines in coordination with the CDC vaccine schedule, and maintaining the Colorado VIS program and recording all vaccines in the Colorado Immunization Information System.
