Senior Pet Care Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pet Care Operations Manager to lead our team at Golrusk Pet Care Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving performance excellence through people management, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask with strong time management skills.
This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for pet guests and associates. The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating and implementing local marketing programs to acquire new customers and grow sales.
Key Responsibilities:- Supports the mission, vision, culture, and policies of Destination Pet LLC
- Ensures exceptional customer service through personal contact, associate training, resolution of customer complaints, and delivery of services
- Collaborates with the Destination Pet Support Staff on a regular basis
- Manages all staff at center, including recruiting, hiring, motivating, training, promoting, counseling, and terminating when necessary
- Oversees the scheduling of staff for work assignments
- Manages center payroll and ensures timely approval
- Works with Destination Pet Human Resources to ensure center compliance with federal and local labor laws
- Ensures safety of all employees by conducting safety training, enforcing safe-handling rules, and complying with safety-related policies
- Prepares and delivers annual performance reviews to team members
- Monitors and responds to the needs of pet guests to ensure their safety, security, and comfort
- Resolves any and all customer and staff complaints
- Acts as primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns
- BS/BA degree preferred
- Five plus years of full P&L management responsibility in hospitality, service, or retail environments
- Experience in problem-solving, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality, and interacting professionally and effectively with co-workers, clients, and the general public
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications
- Ability to multitask with strong time management skills
- Excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills
- Exceptional customer service experience and skills
- Veterinary, boarding, and/or grooming experience required
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must frequently lift 40 pounds
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of shift
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently
- Must be able to work on computer system and multi-line telephone
- Must be able to handle dogs on leashes
The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $65,000 per year. We offer a range of benefits, including health, vision, dental, long-term disability, and life insurance. Additionally, we provide a 401(k) match and generous paid time off.
