Rigger Journeyman Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Rigger Journeyman to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. As a Rigger Journeyman, you will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading rigging tackle, as well as assisting in the selection of equipment for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loads, transports, and unloads rigging tackle, according to weight and size of load
  • Attaches pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures, using bolts and clamps
  • Assists Crane Operator in hoisting and moving loads, ensuring safety of workers and material handlers
  • Sets up braces and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches
  • Directs workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment
  • Cleans and maintains tools, equipment, and work area
  • Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment
  • Plans and coordinates movement of cranes and setup

Requirements:

  • 48 months of industrial construction experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
