Job Title: Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse to join our team at Covenant Living Communities. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, including monitoring staff performance, physician contact, care planning, and daily resident observation. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the orientation of new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants and reinforce training standards to maintain a high quality of care.
  • Provide explanation of nursing procedures and assistance to staff to assure ongoing understanding and training.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, and suggestions of problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, conditions, etc.
  • Observe and evaluate residents' health, mental and emotional conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff.
  • Provide direct patient care as appropriate, including procedures such as catheter placement and care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, naso-gastric tubes and other treatments.
  • Participate in report at the beginning and end of shifts to assure proper information about residents is communicated.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
  • Current license, in good standing, as an LPN/LVN in the State.
  • One year nursing experience.
  • Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.
