The Norman Regional Health System is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist I to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist I, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and aseptic environment, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during operative procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the safe handling of instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms, including setting up and cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
- Provide exceptional patient care, including maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, with national certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 consecutive years of experience as a surgical technologist, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with American Heart Association (AHA) certification preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
