Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. Our facility provides cutting-edge technology to support our team and enhance patient care.

About the Role

The NICU RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.

Responsibilities
  • This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
  • The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing
  • 1-2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC)
  • Neonatal Nursing certification preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing
